Hi Businessmen/Businesswomen

I'm thinking of want to sell/display my product in Supermarket (such as Tesco, Carefour, Giant and etc).
I know this is not an easy way but i would like to try.
Actually the product is more than 10 years so i'm looking for some expect to advice me about this thing.

I have no idea how should I start to sell to the Supermarket's Purchaser.
I should contact the Supermarket's Purchaser by email?
Or I should prepare a Business Proposal before I send the email to them?
Or I should direct call them? Should I call their Headquarter instead of their branch?

Please advice, I really need your help on it.
If you are not sure about your answer, you are welcome to give some advice.
Because I considered a "junior" in business.
