MYCEB is Malaysia’s one-stop centre for MICE activities, operating as the country’s official Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) in relations to business events i.e. Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Exhibition (MICE).  It aims to become the leader in the development of Asia’s highest performance business events industry as well as establishing Malaysia as the premier and preferred MICE destination worldwide.

By channelling more international conventions to Malaysia, MYCEB expects to reap extensive benefits for the country in foreign exchange – direct, indirect and induced expenditures, increased tax revenues, trade and export development, foreign investment, expertise development, research links and employment.

MYCEB’s roles include carrying out the necessary promotional activities including the development of a well-qualified database of potential users of Malaysia’s convention facilities and services.  It will participate in meetings and industry trade shows as well as mount direct sales activities.  MYCEB is also expected to help identify convention business opportunities and qualify buyers, assist in bringing buyers to Malaysia for an inspection of facilities i.e. convention centres, hotels, transportation etc.  Finally, MYCEB will introduce buyers to Malaysian products and services as well as present formal bids (tenders) prepared by the bureau and its partners on behalf of Malaysia.
