As the majority of businesses in Malaysia are made up of SMEs, and it's about time somebody took the initiative to help them grow. For an entire month starting from 20 July, the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) will be holding a Great ICT Sale in conjunction with the National ICT Month (NIM). This event, targeted at local SMEs, will feature attractive offers catered to a buyer's needs, giving them value-added solutions and bundling options such as E-commerce solutions, Saas solutions, Niche SME solutions, Mobile Marketing and more. It will also create opportunities for various SME companies to network amongst themselves. Understanding the financial restraints for most businesses, MDeC will also be working with several financial institutions and agencies to provide aid for those who are interested.
“The MSC Malaysia Great ICT Sale provides a two-pronged approach to driving growth in the SME and software market - firstly, we are providing MSC Malaysia Status SME companies a national platform to trade their products and services. Secondly, we are providing non-ICT related SMEs, like those in manufacturing, retail and construction segments, the opportunity to leverage on locally-made digital solution bundles for better productivity and efficiency and eventually better bottom-lines at a very affordable price,” -- Saifol Bahri b. Mohamad Shamlan, Vice President of MDeC's industry development division.
Finally, utilizing the Internet and e-commerce tools, MDeC will be teaming up with MyBiz Point and Telekom Malaysia eMarketplace to provide an online catalog for buyers and sellers at www.mscmalaysia.my/greatictsale. SMEs can also find attractive web hosting packages and e-commerce solutions during the event.The schedules for the Great ICT Sales are as follows:
- Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (20-21 July 2009) - Hall 1 & 2, Level 3, 9am - 6pm
- Penang International Sports Arena (7-9 August 2009) - 10am-9pm
- Persada Johor International Convention Centre (14-16 August 2009) - 10am-9pm
