Note : Figures in parentheses are world rankingsGlobal trade in 2008 grew 15.4% to US$ 32.54 trillion from US$28.11 trillion in 2007. ASEAN countries collectively accounted for 6% of global trade in 2008, amounting to US$1,926 billion. ASEAN’s exports grew by 14.6% to US$990 billion while imports expanded by 20.8% to US$936 billion.
